Ultimate Youth Basketball Coaches Clinic: 2026
Learn proven techniques to improve individual skills and develop your team from a coach who has spent more than four decades teaching youth basketball. Coach Frank Allocco's ministry in coaching has given him a unique understanding of this important age group and the responsibility that comes with teaching young players. He will share his passion, experience, and knowledge with CYO, Recreation, AAU, and all youth coaches who want to become better teachers of the game.
A 50-year veteran of CYO, AAU, high school and collegiate basketball, as well as athletic administration, Coach Allocco will provide coaches with a practice plan filled with drills, teaching techniques, and offensive and defensive concepts that can immediately be taken back to their teams. The emphasis will be on fundamentals, repetition, player development, and age-appropriate concepts that have been tried and tested at the youth level.
Having coached both boys and girls at every grade level, Coach Allocco will share drills and teaching progressions he has successfully used with players from second through eighth grade. Just as importantly, he will address the coach's role as a teacher, mentor, and positive influence in the lives of young people.
A must-attend clinic for youth coaches who want to increase their knowledge, confidence, and ability to teach the game, while creating a better basketball experience for every player they coach.

Clinician's Statement
For the past 46 years I have conducted the Excel in Basketball Camps in California and New Jersey. My 50 years of experience includes 16 years of coaching boys and girls in Youth Programs in New Jersey and in California. For over four decades, I have been an administrator in the Oakland Diocese CYO Basketball Program. I have also coached at the high school level for 24 years, serving at Northgate High School for six years and at De La Salle High School for 18 years. In 2015-16, I was the Associate Head Coach at the University of San Francisco and am currently the Executive Senior Associate Athletic Director at USF. I can't wait to share my knowledge and passion for the game of basketball!
